November 12, 2009At 7:10 PM, President, Mike Bryant, called the September meeting of
Region 5 B.A.S.S. Federation Nation to order at Ryan’s Restaurant in Martinsville,
VA. Jo Ann Holland read the Secretary and Treasurer’s report of the May
meeting and was unanimously approved by members present. A role call was taken for confirmation of attendance. Those present were: ü

Top Gun First order of business was to vote on a new club, Know Mercy. Country
Boys made a motion to accept the new club with Top Gun seconding the motion.
The new Club was welcomed with 100% of the vote. Old Business: Congratulations was given to Mark Winn, Mark Cooper and Ken Lackey for
winning the Mid-Atlantic Divisional-Jeff Freeman won our division national and is
going to the Bassmaster Classic. Jeff purchased a Triton boat package and now
qualifies for the Alliance through the state. The State Team now has a Skeeter ZX190 with a Yamaha VZ150. Skeeter
Single Axle Trailer, Minn Kota Fortrex80 45” trolling motor and Lowrance HDS-5
plus a prop is included. Our BASS Federation Nation quarterly magazine, Hook Set, is still in need of ads and sponsors. Contact Mike Bryant for prices and availability. In order for the Region to share
information and communicate with all clubs, please send your CURRENT email
address to Mike and Pam. Their address can be found on the Region 5 web site. If
you or someone in your club is ill or in the hospital, the Region would like to
contact your family for updates and send a card. The Adam and Eve Tournament was held 9/12 with 27 boats participating.
The cook-out afterwards was great – Dues for 2010--$30 for National dues and $35 for State will be as
follows: National by 12/30/09 and State by 1/3/10. If you pay national dues by check send to Pam, please make checks
payable to BFN VA and she will take care of things for the clubs. The State Website has posted a current calendar and benefits available
to all members. It can be located at the following web address: www.vafederationnation.com. Please check calendar before each event for
updates and/or changes. New Business: There have been changes made to the 2010 Calendar on the web, please take
a minute and check it over to what has been changed. Mike noted that the State BFN VA is in need of
a Conservation Director as well as an Editor for Hook Set—anyone interested in
either position, please notify him. The club “Muddy Waters” will cease at the end
of the 2009 year—members still wanting to be part of the Region will merge with
Collinsville. Sid
Ryan has resigned as the Vice-President for the State. All regions need to
nominate someone to step up and take the office in his absence. With the Alliance Partnership you can earn

link on the state website or the Triton website. The Triton Alliance Sponsorship will give each state $5000
instead of boat purchase and sale in 2010. Go to Bassmaster.com and Federation Nation and
